Georgie requires an adopter with large bird experience. She is a great bird, but does not like being touched much at all and will bite if she feels threatened in any way.
Georgie is such an amusing girl (I call Georgie a girl even though we really don't know) She whistles, clicks, kisses, and talks. She is playful and social. She is not a touchy feely bird, but she does love the company of people. Watching TV with her human friends is her favorite thing (Wheel of Fortune and the Zaxby's commercials are her favorites.) She seems to be partial to men in general. But, I believe if Georgie had a single owner, she would bond with them regardless of sex. She is very happy and talkative and social at her foster home, especially since we decided to stop pushing her receive pets. Georgie is probably not the bird for you if you are looking for a cuddler. However if you are looking for companionship and endless entertainment, Georgie is your girl. It took her awhile, but now she plays with toys and loves hanging out outside of her cage. She doesn't explore much away from her cage, but she loves hanging out on the open cage door or on the top of her cage where I have her treat toys. Her latest trick is going into her cage when it is bedtime and pulling her door shut for me to latch it for her. She does just fine with other animals like cats and dogs, but other birds stress her out so she would most likely prefer to be an only bird.
The adopter must provide an adequate cage for housing Georgie.
