Pony / Miniature Horse (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Young : : Small
Poor Lee! He hasn't really had much "people time" in his few years of life. Consequently, he's very shy. So, he's on hold right now in his foster home while he learns that people are his friends. Once he's over his people fear, he'll learn about halters and lead ropes and ground manners and other fun things. He's already figured out that sometimes people have treats, so they might just be alright. And they're good to follow around and watch.
Size-wise, he's right in the neighborhood of the smallest size for a pony and the largest size for a (nonregistered) miniature horse)--we were told he's 42 inches but suspect he's slightly shorter--and right now he's too afraid to be measured, so we'll call him a pony/mini cross. He's already been gelded and has had his vaccinations, but needs to learn to trust people before he's available for adoption. Now that he's a CARE horse, he can live up to his new name. Did you say that when you were a kid? "Lucky, lucky white horse. Lucky, lucky Lee..." More about LeeIs Not Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids Adoption saves lives!
