Yellow Labrador Retriever / Spaniel / Mixed (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Young : : Medium
Banana (also called Lucy) is a female Yellow Spaniel mix. It is a mystery as to what all she has in her, but our guesses range from Corgi to Lab to Golden, to Cocker Spaniel. She is about 40 pounds and very friendly. We believe she is about 1 year old. She does not stand as tall as she looks in the pictures.
Update on her looks: the first picture is newer, more new pictures are coming soon. She looks very different now that she has filled out and has her Winter coat. She is medium and short fur, which is very thick, fluffy, soft, and wavy. She's gorgeous! She gets along with other dogs and really likes children. She is pretty active, so probably not a good idea for small children. She loves balls and water. We do not think she would do well with cats. We believe she may accidentally hurt them because of her curiosity and activity level. At this time, we are not able to keep Banana inside (short on foster homes). She is crate trained and leash trained, but only partially housetrained. Usually dogs that have been outside for a length of time will either not potty in the house or train within a few days. If this is a must before you adopt her and you are willing to wait two weeks, we have a foster mom who could do that for a short period only. She is heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. She is also current on vaccines and spayed. Banana is looking for a permanent forever home. More about BananaGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids Adoption saves lives!
