Apple of your eye
Apple originally came to CARE in the Fall of 2011. She and her littermates were just 3 weeks old when they were left in 2 milk crates outside a local vet clinic. Apple was adopted by a family who adored her, and adores her still. They are devastated to have to let her go but the youngest son is severely allergic to her, even with allergy shots. They love her enough to want more for her than being separated from the rest of the family in the basement, so Apple is back at CARE in search of a new family. Apple's previous adopter had this to say about her: Apple is a beautiful dog. She is house trained, never has accidents in the house. She is crate trained (she needs to be in a crate when we are not home or she will destroy something and she sleeps in her crate at night). She loves walks, to go running with my husband and me, has TONS of energy, is good with kids, she is a GREAT dog!!!! She currently weighs about 50 lbs. If you and your children are looking for a great dog to complete your family, submit your application for Apple now! All puppies receive a rabies vaccine, a series of 3 distemper/parvovirus vaccines, dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE. If adopted prior to spay/neuter, a $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit is required in addtion to the adoption fee. Adopters must be close enough to bring puppies to CARE or CARE's designated Vet clinic for boosters and neuter appointments. A completed adoption application and home visit are required to adopt a puppy. Once all vetting is complete, we do adopt out of state. The most complete information about available puppies, including their current age and adoption fee, can be found on our official website at www.caretoadopt.org. Mixed breeds are always our best guess for adult weight and size, based on experience and other factors.
